To be eligible for this visa, applicants must prove as follows:

1. Have a contract with a foreign company of a transnational nature. In other words, be a self-employed worker in teleworking mode.
2. Perform duties that have effect abroad.
3. A minimum yearly income of US$ 36,000.

In addition to meeting the above requirements, the following must be met to apply for this visa:

• Power of Attorney
• Three (3) flesh-size photos
• Full copy of the Passport duly registered and Authenticated by a Public Notary
• Non-criminal record from the country of origin or residence of applicant
• Good health certificate issued in Panama
• Affidavit of personal background.
• Health insurance policy which must include coverage for the period of stay in Panama.
• Affidavit of non-acceptance of any work or service offer to carry out business in Panama
• Proof of existence of the foreign employer company in the place where it is registered.
• Letter of employment on company letterhead, signed by the legal representative. It must state the position and functions exercised by the applicant. The document should include monthly income and work modality (remote). It should also include a commitment to cover return or repatriation expenses. This applies if there’s a need to return to the country of origin.
• Bank certification or bank statements that prove the applicant’s income comes from a foreing source.
• Payment of US$ 250 in favor of the National Immigration Service.

It will be necessary to fulfill the following requirements (self-employed applicants):

• Prove ownership of a company registered outside of Panama.
• A sworn statement describing the business activity, services, clients, and revenue.

The documents mentioned above must be duly apostilled or authenticated at the Embassy or Consulate of Panama. They must also be translated if they are emitted in a language different than Spanish.
